This year, we had the special opportunity to experience the 250th Independence Day during our camping trip at the beautiful Potato Creek State Park in Indiana. July 4th is one of the most important holidays in the USA and is celebrated by many Americans with family, friends, barbecues, boat trips, camping, and, of course, a spectacular fireworks display. 2026 is a particularly special year, as the United States celebrates 250 years of independence. The festive atmosphere is palpable throughout the country; American flags are flying everywhere, and many events are bigger than usual. For us, it was a fantastic opportunity to experience this historic holiday right in our new home. In this video, we'll take you along on our week-long camping trip at Potato Creek State Park. We'll show you our campsite, our excursions, the beautiful nature of Indiana, and, of course, how we experienced Independence Day.
