From Blood to Orchids ~ After Shadowheart and Astarion fell off the mind flayer ship, it took a while for them to find each other again. They decided to go in search of this strange ship, and discovered that they enjoyed each other's company very much. Although they were quite different in nature-Shadowheart liked the night and especially the night orchid, could not swim and always looked for the good in people, while Astarion had been turned into a vampire over 350 years ago and therefore often could no longer recognize the good in others and especially in himself-they found common ground in one thing: they had both experienced many bad things in the time before they met. Perhaps it was this shared suffering that finally brought them together again. Unfortunately, they did not find the mind flayers' ship, despite searching day and night for several months.
