Agricultural markets and retail outlets in central Cuba have improved their operational and service conditions with the support of the "Strategic Support for Sustainable Food Security in Cuba" project (Component 1 POSAS). Funded by the European Union, the initiative is being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture (MINAG) in coordination with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the municipalities of Santa Clara, Placetas, and Remedios (Villa Clara), as well as in Yaguajay, Taguasco, and Sancti Spíritus (Sancti Spíritus).
