MINAG, FAO y CERF fortalecen riego agrícola en Artemisa para la producción de alimentos

Strengthening agricultural irrigation as a pillar for food production is the focus of the actions being promoted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Artemisa, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture (MINAG) and with funding from the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), as part of a project aimed at rehabilitating production and livelihoods after the impact of Hurricanes Oscar and Rafael. In a context marked by limitations in the electricity supply, these interventions are crucial to maintaining productive capacity in territories such as Güira de Melena, San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Alquízar, and Caimito, which are still feeling the effects of Hurricane Rafael in one of the country's main areas for the production of diverse crops and a key supplier for Havana.
