Race: Brisbane Marathon Festival, Queensland - 07 Jun 2026

This video was recorded by Joey while running the course, giving you a first-person view of the race. 🏃 Join Joey as she takes on the Brisbane Half Marathon and experience one of Australia’s most iconic city running events from a runner’s perspective! - The Brisbane Half Marathon follows a scenic 21.1km route through the heart of Brisbane, taking runners past many of the city’s most famous landmarks including Story Bridge, Kangaroo Point Cliffs, South Bank, New Farm and Teneriffe. The course offers a mix of riverside running, city streets and bridge crossings, with spectacular views of the Brisbane River throughout. The half marathon consists of a single loop of the course, while full marathon participants complete the same loop twice to reach the full 42.2km distance. This makes the half marathon a great preview of what marathon runners will experience on race day. Although Brisbane is not known for major climbs, runners will encounter several rolling sections, particularly around Story Bridge and Kangaroo Point. Smart pacing early on can make a big difference, especially for marathon runners returning for their second lap.
