Sharing the inner workings behind my contributions to Hip Hop, the music industry, culture and more is something I’ve been asked about for a while. With this year being Hip Hop’s 50th Anniversary, what better time to share these stories? Today, my 10-part vignette series premieres with Part 1: The Wafer Is The Slipmat ⚡️ Part 1 showcases how my Mom's cooking and sewing inspired my thinking when creating the Wafer which is now called the Slipmat. This is one of my contributions to Hip Hop. This Felt/Wax paper combination has been a mystery of its inventor for many decades. This extremely important DJ tool is used around the world.
