How One Year Ruined Ubisoft

In 2024 it’s a popular topic to jump on Ubisoft, as well you know, they aren’t exactly a great company all around. Everything from the way they treat staff, their fake appeal to equality even though they didn’t have faith in Kasandra being the lead character because she was female all the way to making games that are bloated with unnecessary choices and making games that are simply put, a far cry from what they use to be. I want to delve deep into ups and downs, specifically how I believe there is one year that changed Ubisoft forever, or at least it was the year that acted as a massive bump in the road that took them off course. Today I’ll be taking you on the journey of my first games within the Ubisoft umbrella, and how they influenced my life even to this day, the notorious year for Ubisoft that changed the trajectory of their games and seemingly their business practices but above all what the aftermath has been and if they have any ability to ever come back from this nose dive.
