Flying LONG-HAUL on a LOW COST Airline | Jetstar B787-8 Trip Report | Sydney (SYD) to Phuket (HKT)

G'Day, For the winter holidays, I'm escaping north for 10 days to spend some time abroad in Phuket, Thailand. We flew with Jetstar on our way to Phuket, and the flight was pretty middle of the road, nothing too exceptional coming form the low-cost carrier, but not a down-right awful experience. Thanks and enjoy! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A little history on our Aircraft (VH-VKI) - Victor Kilo India (VKI) was order new by Qantas in late 2005, and 9 years later became the 54th aircraft to be built at the Boeing plant in Charelstown, South Carolina. It was rolled off the production line in an 'all white' livery on Dec 3rd 2014, completed fuel checks and engine runs 13 days later before being added to the Australian register the next day. Over the course of a month, VKI completed 4 test flights (which included a visit to Acadiana for painting) and 2 customer flights (including the trip to Everett Paine Feild), totalling to over 14 hours in the air. VKI was accepted by Qantas and was flown to Melbourne direct, landing on January 29th 2015.
