We visit Coburg, Germany, a beautiful baroque city and home to the Saxe-Coburg und Gotha ducal family. Coburg, the one-time capitol of the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg und Gotha, is located in Bavaria’s Upper Franconia, in Germany. Coburg dates back to as early as the 11th century. It should be noted that Coburg’s Marktplatz or Market Square is one of the most spectacular, amazingly beautiful baroque squares in Germany.
