The 2nd Suwon City Yoga Association President's Cup Yoga Asana Competition - General Division Sol...

On the afternoon of August 10, 2019, the ‘2nd Suwon City Yoga Association President’s Cup Yoga Asana Competition’ was successfully held at the Grand Auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Suwon City Hall Annex, Gyeonggi-do, with approximately 400 participants including athletes and officials. Hosted and organized by the Suwon City Yoga Association and sponsored by the Gyeonggi-do Yoga Association to promote the health of Suwon citizens, revitalize recreational sports, and expand the base of yoga enthusiasts, the event featured heated competition across professional and general categories, including Individual, General Division (2-3 people), Group, and Couple Yoga, amidst the enthusiastic participation of yoga practitioners in Suwon. The athletes selected in this competition were granted eligibility to compete in the Gyeonggi-do, National, and Asian Championships. Following the competition and prior to the awards ceremony, a raffle was held to present prizes such as pension accommodation vouchers and gift exchange vouchers. In his opening remarks, Oh Gap-jin, President of the Suwon City Yoga Association, stated that "yoga is not merely about pursuing beauty, but about meditation and breathing harmonizing through asanas." He expressed his hope that not only athletes but all citizens would make yoga a part of their daily lives to improve their basic physical fitness, thereby enabling them to live healthy and happy lives.
