Fishing Africa: Return to Devil Island

Join Anthony and the BADCO Team as they head back to Cape Verde, Africa for the first time this year and catch a record 63 Blue Marlin in 14 days. Originally set for Abidjan, Leg 15 was moved north to Cape Verde once the team heard the bite was hot despite being on the wrong side of the moon. They fished the westernmost island, Santo Antão or what OB refers to as "Devil Island" for the first handful of days on the newly refitted Spencer 57, waiting for BCS150 to finish her 1600nm journey from Abidjan. Despite an ongoing challenge with soft bites on pitch baits and lures, the team managed to raise over 100 fish and even caught 10 in one day, a record for them.
