Salvage Shipwrecks to Recycle Resources Have you ever come across a shipwreck and wished you could profit from it? In the Greed system, you'll meet the Tides of Thirst, a loosely organized group of scavengers and traders. They've developed the means to salvage wrecks and use them for production. You can either tow the wreck away with one of the new tugboats or dismantle it on the spot with a new deconstruction vessel. Reach a station with a processing module and watch your scrap be transformed into building materials. X4: Foundations 5.00 Update X4: Tides of Greed will be released alongside the extensive, free Update 5.00 for X4: Foundations, which expands and improves the base game in several ways.
