Come rubare un quintale di diamanti in Russia - Film completo (1967)
How to Steal a Ton of Diamonds in Russia - Full Movie (1967) "How to Steal a Ton of Diamonds in Russia" is a 1967 film directed by Guido Malatesta (stage name James Reed). PLOT Determined to seize a formidable cache of Russian rough gemstones, Fantomas director Mr. Zak sends two separate teams to Moscow: one led by Groeber, posing as experts from an Amsterdam bank, and one led by Professor Iggins, posing as a group of tourists. According to plan, while Groeber and his colleagues, greeted with understandable caution by the Russians, count and appraise the stones, Iggins sneaks into the basement of the National Bank of Moscow and, at the appointed time, seizes the treasure, which is shipped to Austria on a freight train. The appearance of one of the Dutch delegates, however, alarms General Poniatowski, who nevertheless allows the documents to be stolen by the Cossack captain, Miss Tamara. Taking advantage of the situation to choose freedom, Tamara forces the thieves to join their group and take her behind the Iron Curtain. But once in Austria, the intervention of Commissioner Krakenbaun leads to the arrest of the group and the seizure of the stolen goods. Iggins and Tamara manage to overcome the obstacle, and everyone flees to safety in an eastern country, where they devote themselves to the planning of another daring plan to defraud the government in Beijing. REVIEW It's a film that exploits some of the trickery invented for James Bond and harks back to "The Seven Golden Men," but without the imagination, aggression, and—why not?—humor of the imitators. The result is a mess that isn't even entertaining. Approximately also some characteristics of Soviet customs and life, and many other things due to the inexperience of director Guido Malatesta, who directed the actors too casually." (Corriere della Sera, August 1967) LOCATIONS The interiors of the Amsterdam villa where the robbery is planned are the unmistakable ones of Villa Miani, located in Rome at Via Trionfale 151.
