We're cutting holes in our Ford Transit Custom (identical to the VW T7) again 😅 Because the side windows from Reimo/Carbest have finally arrived! We're installing a sliding window on the passenger side and a pop-out window on the driver's side – and we'll take you through the entire installation process step by step. In this video, we'll show you exactly: ✔️ How we marked and cut the openings in the metal ✔️ What to watch out for when deburring ✔️ How to correctly install the sealing tape ✔️ Where and why the primer is applied ✔️ How we neatly glued the windows into the vehicle Of course, we'll also talk about what we would do differently in hindsight. 👉 Today, we would apply the adhesive to the outside of the window – not to the cutout. This saves you the time-consuming process of marking the bonding surfaces and makes the work much more relaxed. And very important: Use a decent caulking gun 😅 Unless you've just been working out your forearms at the gym, you'll quickly find out what "tough" really means when dealing with windshield adhesive.
