RAV4 EV Battery Capacity after 10 years and 150k+ mi

In this video, we take a look at a 10 year old, Tesla Powered, Toyota RAV4 EV with over 155k miles to see how much battery capacity has been lost over its lifetime. It's quite impressive how well these batteries hold up over time, likely due to their very good thermal management system. To find out the capacity, we performed a procedure called the "Tony Test", which works on all 2012-2014 Toyota RAV4 EVs, the steps for which are listed below: 1. Turn the car on, then back off again, and select the "extended charge" button on the infotainment screen. 2. Let the car charge all the way to full. 3. Unplug the car 4. WITHOUT STARTING THE CAR, open the hood, and disconnect the negative terminal on the 12v battery. 5. Let the car sit with the 12v battery disconnected for at least a few hours (overnight works fine). 6. Reconnect the 12v battery. 7. Start the car (it may take several seconds for the car to "boot up" before it will start). 8. After waiting for ~5-10 sec for the "guess-o-meter" to recalibrate, take a look at the number, and write it down if you don't want to forget it.
