2017 TOYOTA Prius Prime (PHEV) Pre-Purchase Inspection Chapters: 0:00 Start 00:05 Exterior 02:50 Engine 07:12 Undercarriage 09:59 Interior 13:27 Trunk 15:11 Code Scan 18:31 Conclusions Inspection Conclusions: Alright we're gonna go through just a few things. Overall car drives really good. Smooth ride, responds well, hybrid stuff. Tires are like new, brakes do well, very quiet, no bumps or clunks or sounds on the bumps there. Skid plate is dragging a little bit so you will hear that on some stuff. Overall not bad. It doesn't look like they plug it in to charge it very often. On the schedule there was literally nothing for like a month from what I could see. It doesn't go back very far in the history there. The driving system charge will only do so much with the plug-in ones. You want to do a full plug-in you know once a week or something just to keep up on that battery. We did find some some major concerns I would say on this. The front impact definitely went through that pretty deep on the video here. Front has had some body work, paint work, still has some some some body damage, core support and everything but everything kind of works as it need to but definitely wasn't addressed correctly. Radar and everything works. The lane keep and stuff it didn't really go off. It did let me cross line without any kind of alarms or anything even though it said it was on. Something to look into. The interior is in decent shape. Headliner's got some stuff and then the back bumper just has some cracks and stuff. Front bumper was replaced and you can tell from the cheap paint job and stuff so keep that in mind. For me, I do like the Priuses. This one has just had a very serious front impact that still needs to be addressed in my opinion. There still is some damage to the aprons and the core support. I would definitely also just make sure that it is still square. It drives straight and everything but that could just be the way they have the alignment to counteract that. So there is some more deeper inspections that needs to be done before I'd be comfortable with the purchase on this. The battery health and everything seemed to check out well. It does need to be plugged in more often. We're gonna stop here and that concludes our inspection. ------------------------------------------- Want to know what you're buying before you buy it?
