In this video, we will discuss a single-phase full-bridge inverter with a series resistive-inductive (RL) load using Harmonic & Amplitude Control. Using delay angles in the PWM switching scheme for the switches in the full-bridge, we can reduce the total harmonic distortion (THD) drastically. We will determine the requirement to eliminate the third or fifth harmonic content from the load current and load voltage, and thereby to reduce the THD at the load.
