The Man Who Saved Torker BMX (Full Warehouse Tour)

Torker BMX went bankrupt in 1984 and the name sold at auction for $3,000. So why is there a warehouse in Southern California packed floor to ceiling with brand-new Torkers? Because one guy spent nine years bringing it back. I visited the Supercross BMX and Torker headquarters to hang out with Bill Ryan — and what started as a warehouse tour turned into something a lot bigger. Bill walked me through the whole story: how Torker was his dream brand as a kid, the nine-year fight to get the trademark, and why the first thing he did after landing it was track down the original Johnson family to ask for their blessing. Along the way we dig into the Golden Cranks (the award you can't buy — the riders have to vote you in), the Radical Rick collection and the Damien Fulton connection, the 50th anniversary Torker drops handmade in Fullerton, a Vans x Torker collab that showed up on a forklift while I was standing there, and a whole lot of behind-the-scenes at one of BMX's most respected operations. This isn't a review and it's not a typical interview. It's the story of a brand that died, the guy who refused to let it stay dead, and a walk through the warehouse where it lives again. 🔗 Links from this video: 👉🏻 My original Torker Freestylist build:    • I Finally Built My Torker Freestylist 2… T...   👉🏻 Dirtyfest 4 — full event video:    • Old School BMX Is More Alive Than You Thin...   👉🏻 Torker: torkerracing.com 👉🏻 Supercross BMX: supercrossbmx.com 🛹 The Nostalgic Neighborhood: thenostalgicneighborhood.com ⏱ Chapters: 0:00 The 9-Year Secret 0:35 Why I Drove to Torker HQ 1:35 Torker Died in 1984 2:12 The 50th Anniversary Big Bike 3:19 Bankrupt, Sold for $3,000 3:45 Bill's Torker Story Starts as a Kid 5:23 "Who Cares About Torker?" 6:40 Nine Years to Get the Name 6:54 Asking the Johnson Family's Blessing 8:22 The Golden Cranks You Can't Buy 9:29 Pump Tracks and the Next Generation 11:18 Inside the Torker Warehouse 11:57 Not a Reissue — Torker Today 14:05 Radical Rick and BMX Plus 14:56 Damien Fulton in Tears 16:33 Spike: The Skater in the Crew 17:37 The Poster With Bill's Whole Life In It 20:41 Warehouse Two: Nostalgia Heaven 21:20 "Blow Their Minds" 21:47 The Retro TV Box 22:50 Vans x Torker Arrives on a Forklift 23:37 Unboxing the Torker Vans 25:20 Bill's Office and the Family Business 27:08 Why This Place Matters
