This episode tells the story of businessman Federico Santa María. It recounts how, starting with a family fortune, he was able to capitalize on businesses until he became the "sugar king" in France. Upon returning to Valparaíso after the 1906 earthquake, he decided to invest his wealth in providing education to young people without the resources to pay for a quality higher education. Over time, the businessman's initiative evolved into the Federico Santa María University.
