Disc Fun for Go-Outs with Pounce - Part 1

I am using a small rubber disc that I purchased from Fit Paws as a target to teach my dog a concept to utilize for my competition obedience go-out training. In this video you will see how I teach Pounce to target to the disc and how I build value for her to want to touch the disc. It is a fun game that we both enjoy. And competition obedience is supposed to be just that, a fun combination of games that you teach your dog. I show how to teach the turn and sit on the disc, and how to incorporate it into a complete go-out exercise. Watch for Part 2 of this series, where I am teaching my Labrador, Remi, how to use the disc, and he has a much bigger body that he has to negotiate onto the disc, it has helped him to have a much tighter sit and also gives him his own responsibility not to come forward after executing the sit.
