La A 7 ya cuenta con iluminación

The A-7 motorway, as it passes through Manilva, has had its lighting restored along a significant stretch, following yesterday's general test of the new installation. During the early hours of this morning, the road was illuminated, marking a crucial step towards the system's final commissioning. All that remains is for road maintenance crews to address the issues identified during this testing phase and complete the entire section that will be permanently illuminated before the project is officially finished. The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, along with the councilors for Infrastructure and Public Works, Marcos Ruiz; Urban Planning, Juan Carlos Morejón; and Tourism, Agustín Vargas, were present for the activation test. The project has restored lighting in both directions of the motorway, from the start of the underpass to the Los Granados area, returning visibility and safety to a section that had been without lighting for years due to the theft of cabling and other components of the electrical installation. The Department of Infrastructure and Public Works, headed by Marcos Ruiz, had been requesting this intervention from the Town Hall due to the risk posed by the lack of lighting to the thousands of vehicles that travel through the area daily, especially at night. The project was made possible thanks to an agreement between the Manilva Town Hall and the Highways Department, a branch of the Spanish Government. Under this agreement, the state agency carried out the installation and replaced the deteriorated lights, while the Town Hall will cover the cost of the electricity supply, which will be integrated into the municipal public lighting system. With this action, the governing team is responding to a long-standing demand of the municipality and significantly improving road safety and visibility as vehicles pass through our town.
