Träumerei is one of the most beautiful and beloved pieces in the romantic piano repertoire. If you’ve always dreamed of this piece, this 24 part tutorial will guide you through the musical details to make your own artistic interpretation a reality. This is lesson 1 of the 24 day overview of this piece, which is designed to give you a solid foundation for studying and playing this piece. In this video we will go over, fingering, rhythm, notes, dynamics and pedal for measure 1. Please make sure to have a pencil handy so that you can find the fingering that works best for your hands! An important thing to be aware of is that there are MANY different versions of this piece, and many different interpretations. When playing this piece, pianists really take artistic liberties and make it deeply personal--so that is my goal for you.
