Gear Talk: Roland MC-505 - Best Groovebox ever made?
Talking about why anyone would still want one of these in 2018. I still love my Korg EMX but the MC-505 is a lot more powerful. When I first had it in early 2000, part of its workflow was a bit over my head. Then I ran into the well known display problem and sold it before I had unleashed its full potential. Moving on to the EMX and dealing with its limitations had me thinking back to the MC-505, now understanding things a lot better. So in a way working with the EMX taught me how to use the MC-505, I see it as the next logical step. They are both really great instruments!
