Türkiye's 5th generation national combat aircraft project, KAAN, will bring about new changes in global military strategies and air defense doctrines. In this video, we examine the stages KAAN has gone through, from its initial flight tests to ground tests, from a technical perspective. We investigated the speed achieved in the 13 and 14-minute flights of the P0 model, the 8,000-10,000 feet altitude reactions, and the transmission of avionics system data to the field. We detailed the effects of the Murat 200A AESA radar added to the nose of the P1 model, and the integrated EOTS (Electronic Optical Targeting System) and IRST (Infrared Search and Tracking System) technologies on the radar cross-section (RCS). We also explained the role of the P2 model in static endurance tests and the Block 10, 20, and 30 development schedule. We analyzed the operational differences between KAAN and its global competitors. We compared the multi-role structure of our aircraft with the single-engine deep-strike F-35 and the twin-engine interceptor Eurofighter Typhoon. We compared maximum speed data in Mach, operational range, range performance, and the special RAM paint systems that directly affect the aircraft's stealth level, using objective parameters. We simulated the operation of missiles and radar systems in a potential air-to-air combat. We addressed the thermal signature (heat) disadvantage of the F-35's high-thrust single-engine structure and the strategic advantages provided by KAAN's IRST tracking system and the domestically produced Gökhan air-to-air missile in close-range engagements where radars are shut down. In future projections, we examined the process of phasing out F-16 and F-4 aircraft with the entry of KAAN into the inventory. We explained, with technical data, how KAAN, not only as an independent platform but also as an airborne command and control center integrated with unmanned systems such as Kızılelma, Akıncı, and Bayraktar, will shape air dominance and air control in the region.
