The investigation into the fatal traffic accident on Highway CA-5 has revealed an alarming situation. The news program "Hoy Mismo" confirmed that the tow truck involved in the crash, which killed seven members of the National Police, was operating illegally. It lacked the required operating permit from the Honduran Institute of Land Transportation (IHTT), and its driver was not certified by the National Institute of Land Transportation (ENTT). Journalist Ruth Muñoz reported that the heavy vehicle was traveling at excessive speed and in an imprudent manner, causing the driver to lose control, overturn, and cross the center line. Given the seriousness of the findings, the National Police requested a 24-hour extension to submit their final report.
