This video is one of the hardest we’ve ever had to make. Today we share the tear-filled journey of saying good-bye to Papa Bill Bates. Although the end of his life brought tremendous grief, we’re so thankful we could be with him near the end. His final days were filled with tears, tender moments, and so much love. In the midst of our grief, something unexpected and beautiful happened…we were given the chance to open our hearts and our home to two sweet foster children. I will always remember the last few words Papa Bill said to us: “Go get them babies.” He was an encouragement to the very end.  A precious chapter of our lives has ended with Papa’s passing; a chapter we will never forget. But we are also looking forward to the new chapter that has begun, one that has already brought us tremendous joy!
