Carlin’s grandfather, Papa Bill Bates, passed away, and we made the decision to take time off social media to grieve and be with family. Carlin especially had a tough time processing his passing, and it felt right to step away for a few days to honor him properly and support one another. We traveled down to Honea Path, South Carolina, over the weekend to be with family and celebrate Papa Bill’s life together on Sunday. In this video, we open up about the loss, how we’re walking through grief, and what this past week has looked like for us as a family. We also want to say thank you. The outpouring of love, prayers, and kind messages from so many of you has meant more than you know. Your grace and understanding as we postponed Saturday’s video have given our family the space we needed, and we’re incredibly grateful. Thank you for being part of our lives—even in the hard moments.
