Cuando CERRARON su HOGAR todo quedó en SILENCIO | Beróiz
Beróiz (also known as Beroiz or Veroiz) is a medieval village located in the Izagaondoa Valley, Navarre, a place seemingly forgotten by time where the ruins of its church, houses, and old manor house still stand. This documentary traces the complete history of Beróiz, from its first documented references in the 12th century to its final abandonment in 1962. Through contemporary footage, aerial shots, and voice-over narration, we explore the daily life of the village, its festivals, its church dedicated to Saint Martin, the paths, springs, and place names that shaped the landscape, and the legal disputes that reveal the real tensions between residents, lords, and monasteries. Beróiz was once a seigniory, with a now-vanished defensive tower, fields of wheat, barley, and oats, and a small but stable population for centuries. The Martínez family was the last to inhabit the village before its sale to the Marquis of Jaureguizar, thus closing another chapter of rural abandonment in Navarre. This documentary is not just a journey through ruins, but an immersion into the memory of a village that disappeared silently, yet whose history remains etched in stone. ✉️CONTACT [email protected] 🎥 Historical Documentary 📍 Navarre – Izagaondoa ⛪ Church of San Martín 🏚️ Medieval Abandoned Village 🕯️ Memory and Rural Abandonment #Beróiz #Beroiz #Veroiz #AbandonedVillages #Navarre #Izagaondoa #AbandonedVillages #HistoryOfNavarre #RuralAbandonment #ForgottenHeritage #Documentary #ForgottenSpain
