Huge oxygen tank passes through town in 2020

In 2020, a large 225 tonne medical grade oxygen tank made its way through Cannock in Staffordshire, escorted by police. The 225 tonne oxygen tank, belonging to Air Liquide, was empty. The load was 49m long, 6.5m high and 4.9m wide and transported by Collett Ltd. Due to the abnormally large size, police were available to shut down junctions and escort the convoy. Various staff were on hand to cut trees, lift BT cables, and move roadside furniture to allow for the safe passage of the vehicle.
