View the 1000 Islands and Brockville, from a cargo ship
Early yesterday, we sailed through the beautiful 1000 Islands. I love seeing the reflections of the trees and cottages in the water. It is early in the season, so there was a quietness about it which made it feel even more tranquil and peaceful. It was before 08H00, so I could enjoy standing on deck without worrying that something would burn or boil over on the stove. The timing was perfect, and I spent every extra second looking out the window and door. A few hours later, we passed my hometown of Brockville, Ontario. The sun was out, and I went out on deck to capture the salute sent out to Brockville and the memory of my parents. It's so special to hear that salute. It was the perfect day.
