📚 MIS 7 MEJORES LECTURAS de la primera mitad de 2026
📩 Subscribe to my Substack for free: https://labibliotecadedavid.substack.... We've already reached the halfway point of 2026, so it's time to take stock of the best books I've read during these first six months of the year. In this video, I'll tell you about my 7 best reads from the first half of 2026: books that have stayed with me for very different reasons. Some for their depth, others for their style, others for the way they address memory, sadness, desire, war, mental health, or the human condition. The standout book of this first half of the year has undoubtedly been The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky. But also included in this selection are The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath; The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera; The Physics of Sadness by Georgi Gospodinov; and The Red Skyscraper by Darko Cvijetić. The Guard, by Nikos Kavadias; and Fish, by Eva Baltasar. Not all of them are easy reads, nor do they all work for the same reasons, but they have all marked my reading year so far. This isn't a summary of everything I've read in 2026, but rather a selection of the books I would truly highlight from the first half of the year. BOOKS REVIEWED: Introduction: My Best Reads of the First Half of 2026 The Brothers Karamazov — Fyodor Dostoevsky The Bell Jar — Sylvia Plath The Unbearable Lightness of Being — Milan Kundera The Physics of Sadness — Georgi Gospodinov The Red Skyscraper — Darko Cvijetić The Guard — Nikos Kavadias Fish — Eva Baltasar On this channel, we talk about literature in a relaxed way, trying to go a little beyond the synopsis: style, themes, context, reading experiences, and everything that makes a book stay with you after you close it. Now I want to know what your best reads have been in the first half of 2026. What's the best book you've read this year so far? Do we have any in common? Is there a book I absolutely must read during the second half of 2026? I'll read your comments. #David'sLibrary #BestReads2026 #FirstHalf2026 #Reads2026 #RecommendedBooks #BooktubeSpain #TheBrothersKaramazov #Dostoevsky #SylviaPlath #TheBellCrystal #MilanKundera #TheUnbearableLightnessOfBeing #PhysicsOfSadness #GeorgyGospodinov #TheRedSkyscraper #DarkoCvijetic #TheGuard #NikosKavadias #EvaBaltasar #Peixos #Fish #Literature #WhatToRead
