📚 BOOKTAG de MITAD DE AÑO 2026 | Mejores, peores y sorpresas

📩 Subscribe to my Substack for free: https://labibliotecadedavid.substack.... We're already past the halfway point of 2026, so it's time to take stock of everything I've read during these first six months of the year. In this mid-year Book Tag, we'll review my best read, my biggest disappointment, the book that surprised me the most, my new favorite author, and some of the big books I want to tackle before the end of 2026. The big winner of these first few months has been The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky, one of those novels that alone justifies months of reading. But there have also been some major disappointments, like Wuthering Heights, and unexpected surprises, like The Red Skyscraper. We also talked about Sylvia Plath and The Bell Jar, Toni's awkward humor, the decadent atmosphere of Death in Venice, and one of the books that has been most challenging for me this year: The Summer My Mother Had Green Eyes. I'll also tell you about the most beautiful book edition I've bought, the new release I still haven't read, and the two major books I'm publicly committing to reading in the second half of the year. Now I want to hear about your own reading journey: What was the best book you read during the first half of 2026? What was your biggest disappointment? And what book are you committing to reading before the end of the year? I'll read your comments.
