TRIP REPORT | First Time on Malaysia A350! | Kuala Lumpur to London | Malaysia Airlines A350

Malaysia Airlines Trip Report flying from Kuala Lumpur to London Heathrow onboard one of the Malaysia Airlines Airbus A350 on a beautiful winter day. An extremely comfortable 13h+ flight from Kuala Lumpur to London onboard the Malaysia Airlines A350. The flight was, surprisingly, nearly empty; for sure not more than 50 passengers. This allowed us to have 3 seats, which increased the comfort exponentially. After a nice exploration of Kuala Lumpur International Airport, as well as some planespotting, we boarded the Airbus A350 that would take us to London. After enjoying the most original safety msg I've ever seen, we took off from Kuala Lumpur towards the northwest. We initially climbed through lots of clouds and turbulence. These ones disappeared just in time to see a last glimpse of Indonesia, before entering the Gulf of Bengal. We crossed the Gulf and finally reached India, where we entered over Madras. We made a right turn there and crossed the country, flying towards the Indian Ocean. We left India over Mumbai, after some amazing views of the city. We then crossed the Indian Ocean towards Pakistan. We entered Pakistan west of Karachi and enjoyed some of the best views I've ever had of Hingol National Park and the desert area. We continued towards Iran and crossed it from south to north. The views were stunning, from the very south until reaching Tehran. From there we flew over Turkiye, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Belgium, and, finally, the United Kingdom and London, where we landed on time. About the catering service... well, it was good, definitely not bad at all. But it was the most strange "breakfast" I ever had: fruit, lasagna, and red wine. What a combination to start the day! I guess there was some mistake on the website and they got a pre-ordered meal for me (which was the lasagna). Just after getting it, another cabin crew came offering the wine. I said... well, why not? The second meal came around 4 hours before landing in London. In this case, they offered a more conventional one. 2 options: chicken or beef. I chose the second one. It was pretty ok. I would say Malaysia Airlines is positioned slightly behind Singapore Airlines in terms of Catering in economy class, and for sure behind the Gulf ones. Now it's your turn!
