TRIP REPORT | First Time on Alaska B737 MAX 9 | Honolulu to Los Angeles | Alaska Boeing 737-9 MAX

Alaska Airlines Trip Report flying from Honolulu to Los Angeles in on Alaska Airlines Premium Economy onboard one of Alaska's Boeing 737-9 MAX on a lovely spring afternoon. A comfortable flight from Honolulu to Los Angeles onboard one of the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-9 MAX in Premium Class (that's how Alaska Airlines calls the rows just behind First Class which offers a lot of extra space). After some amazing days in Hawaii, it was time to fly back to Los Angeles. After some exploration of Honolulu International Airport and some amazing planespotting, we boarded the B737MAX that would take us to Los Angeles. Everyone knows why the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-9 MAX is famous for... but here you won't find any kind of sensationalism. I'll try to explain in my own words what happened with that door plug a few months ago. We took off towards Honolulu and quickly made a 90° turn towards the Pacific Ocean. The standard departure from Honolulu is a joy for the eyes. It looks designed on purpose to be able to enjoy the beauty of the island. The sky was completely clear, so the views were just perfect. Once we left Hawaii behind, the only thing we saw for the next 4 hours was water. A lot of water. The sunset took place 2 hours into the flight. The lights in the sky during it were beautiful. That means we enjoyed a night approach and landing in Los Angeles. In fact, we overflew the the city on final approach. What a view! About the onboard service, Alaska Airlines offers the option of pre-booking some meals. I chose to prebook the salad and a burger. Both were really good for being economy class meals.
