Dhakal, PhD Professor, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Binghamton University Date/Time: Friday, June 19 @ 8:30PM EDT Solar cells have evolved from traditional silicon panels on rooftops to new technologies like lightweight and flexible perovskite solar cells. This talk will explain how solar cells turn sunlight into electricity and explore how advances in materials and manufacturing are making solar energy more powerful, affordable, and useful in applications ranging from homes to space missions. The presentation will provide an easy-to-understand look at the future of clean energy and why solar technology matters for everyone. We are excited to offer this program both online and in-person. For those that can visit us on-site, doors open at 8:00pm and the program begins at 8:30pm. If the skies are clear, our domes will be open for you to view the night skies through Kopernik’s telescopes both before and after the program. Subscribe for future programs and observing sessions!
