Landscaping and transport infrastructure projects are being reviewed in Ust-Kamenogorsk, 24KZ reports. Highways are being widened and roundabouts are being built in the city. This will reduce congestion on the regional capital's road network. Due to the growing number of cars in residential areas, parking spaces will be expanded. In Ust-Kamenogorsk's residential areas, buildings date back to the 1960s. Courtyards in the old town can no longer accommodate the growing number of vehicles and require new parking spaces. Residents say playgrounds from the last century are outdated. The appearance of Ust-Kamenogorsk's courtyards will be redesigned based on residents' wishes. Local authorities are conducting public surveys and jointly developing a list of necessary improvements. Under the "Public Participation Budget" program, 42 courtyards in Ust-Kamenogorsk were renovated, 17 playgrounds and 8 sports fields were created, a new park was built in the city center, and a promenade was opened at the entrance to the mountainous area. 150 million tenge of budget funds were invested in the construction of the promenade.
