Leaving Wakefield Westgate on an LNER Class 91 Intercity 225 service to London King’s Cross

Always enjoy using the Intercity225 sets whenever I go to Leeds, much prefer them over the cheap, nasty and uncomfortable Azumas with their horrid ironing board seats. These first class seats are so plush - you can fall asleep instantly and the adjustment is really good. Not to mention it’s got proper curtains, probably the last on any UK intercity train. Recently shortened to seven coaches for some reason, the 225s are now focused on Leeds and one service per day to Newcastle. You can always look up to see timings of Class 91 services. Get those rides in before they’re replaced by tri-mode Class 897 Civity units. 82222 leads with 91106 providing the power on the 12:40 service from Leeds to King’s Cross calling at Wakefield Westgate, Doncaster, Grantham, Peterborough and London King’s Cross.
