I compared and remixed the standard battle theme "Battle Scene 1" from "Final Fantasy II" using the sound sources from the Famicom, WonderSwan, PlayStation (PSP), Game Boy Advance, and Pixel Remaster versions. About the "Comparison & Remix" series: These videos focus on listening to and comparing the original versions and their various ports for a single game track. I also try remixing (mashing up) these different sound sources to make it easier to hear the differences and discover new sounds. The basic rule is to use sound sources from "the same game title" to keep things clear and avoid an overwhelming amount of comparisons. Please understand this in advance. Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Why isn’t the PSP version included? A: It’s omitted because it uses the same sound source as the PlayStation version. Although the GBA version uses an identical arrangement, the instrument sounds are different. Q: Why isn’t the mobile (feature phone) app version included? A: Currently, I don’t have access to that version’s sound source, so it’s not featured in this video. For reference, the following mobile phones apparently come with pre-installed apps: P900i ⇒ FF1 / P901i ⇒ FF2 / 941P ⇒ FF4 / N900i ⇒ DQ1 / N901i ⇒ DQ2 / F-01B, F-04B, N-02B, P-01B, SH-01B ⇒ DQ3 (trial version only) Q: Why aren’t other versions included?
