Agreeing to help the Brotherhood elder, agreeing to help Veronica, finding a missile laser pistol (with some difficulty), finding Elijah's Shack, deciding to go after the pulse gun, realising I didn't have enough Rad-X to survive Vault 34, coming back after getting enough supplies, fighting through the ghouls to get to the reactor, closing the reactor vents, recovering the pulse gun, returning the missing laser pistol, showing the pulse gun to the elder, seeing him not change his mind at all, consoling Veronica, helping Scribe Ibsen with the computer virus problem, getting outside and remembering I don't have a high Speech skill, having to fight the angry Brotherhood members, trying to pick up Arcade Gannon but remembering (AGAIN) that I don't have a high Speech skill, searching for the dead Brotherhood expeditions, getting jumped by a Nightkin ambush and Legion ambush at the same time, raising my Speech skill, picking up Gannon, heading to the REPCONN HQ, hearing Gannon talk about pre-war energy and weapons research, scooping up the last of the patrol holotapes, swinging past Dr. Hildern to hear Gannon talk about big picture guys, returning the holotapes to the Elder, finding the scout near the NCRCF, then heading towards Vault 22!
