Silvia shares her life story as a woman, wife, and activist in a society that stigmatizes people living with HIV. A woman and mother who has been living with HIV for over 26 years, she has become an inspiration and role model for many Mexican women who face daily discrimination because of their HIV status. Silvia also volunteers at Casa David, a shelter for people living with HIV, which provides them with care, information, guidance, and empowerment to improve their quality of life.
