Nice Motors! EPIC Scenic Montgomery Hydraulic Elevators | Macy’s | Hawthorn Mall | Vernon Hills, IL

(5/18/26) Here are a couple elevators I’ve always wanted to see in person. These are the awesome Montgomery elevators at the Former Marshall Field’s at Hawthorn Center! They run perfectly and aren’t in bad shape besides the dead VFDs. The dry powered motors definitely don’t disappoint. I’d imagine before the store was renovated in the early 90s, the elevators were identical to Woodfield, Old Orchard, and several other early 70s Marshall Field’s locations.
