AWESOME Montgomery Hydraulic Scenic Elevators - Macy's, Hawthorn Mall - Vernon Hills, IL

[Recorded December 2023] AT LAST!!! I've been watching videos of these on YouTube for a loooonggggg time and I always wanted to ride them. Unfortunately, I was not going to be in Illinois anytime soon...or so I thought. While I was visiting, I just HAD to make it over to this mall so I could go to this specific Macy's store to ride these specific elevators. MAN they are so much cooler in person and the motors are AMAZING!! These are awesome Montgomery elevators with older Innovation and VFD floor indicators, which sadly no longer work. These have epic bells and motors though, and this is a beautiful store, which was formerly a Marshall Field's.
