Castiglione della Pescaia_P.ta Ala_costiera di Scarlino_Caldana. Giro in bici impegnativo ma bello!

While the Lasko was being broken into, we were cycling around the hills north of Grosseto. From Castiglione della Pescaia we reached P.ta Ala via a path (crossing private land courtesy of the owner) that was rather uncomfortable but with beautiful views of the sea. We continued north to the Scarlino coastal nature reserve, where the famous Cala Violina is also located. Once we reached Puntone di Scarlino, we turned inland to reach Caldana via a very uncomfortable path and with some decidedly challenging climbs. From here, after a short stop for some sparkling water and a slice of artisanal tart, we continued along the road until we returned to the starting point.
