Leadhills and Wanlockhead Scotland August 2021

It had be about a decade since we visited the villages of Leadhills and Wanlockhead. They compete for 'highest villages' in Scotland and there are traces of the mining industries still evident. Both are embedded in a harsh landscape often with small gardens sitting across the road from the rows of cottages from the mid-to-late 1800s. In this video we walk along a couple of these rows.
