Today in the village of Cuncolim, Chatrotsav is being celebrated. Here Chatrotsav is not an ordinary festival. Every festival of Goa, specially held during the Shigmo have a story. Some times it's a folklore while in other cases it has a deep root towards Etihas This Chatrotsav of Shree Shantadurga Kunkalikarin is deeply connected with the days of Inquisition. Asia's first armed resistance towards the foreign colonial took place in this village of Cuncolim. The villagers fought to protect their village, protect their Goddess Shree Shantadurga Kunkalikarin. And that is the reason this village is rightly known as the village of Freedom fighters. So in this video let's listen to the story of Chatrotsav and how the deity come back to her original hometown once in a year.
