It was the culmination of the union between the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, which had existed since the late 14th century. In 1569, the decision was made to create a common Polish-Lithuanian state. However, the two states were at different levels of development, with different goals and ambitions. So, was it worth it?
