In this feature-length documentary, we present the complete biography of Leon Trotsky—from his birth in the steppes of Yanovka, Ukraine, in 1879, to his assassination in Mexico in 1940, and the fate of his legacy. We recount his youthful rebellion and conversion to Marxism, his wedding in a Moscow transit prison, two daring escapes from Siberia, his years in exile in Vienna, Paris, and New York, the 1905 Revolution, and the October Revolution, of which he was a key organizer.
