After a stubborn struggle, they reduce the strong fort of Sabalgarh to submission and after there they attacked Bijaipur and it was also captured and placed in charge of Ambaji Ingale. In 1806, Daulat Rao Scindia imprisoned Ambaji and demanded Sabalgarh, from him but he refused, though later on he surrendered a few places in the territory to the raja of Karaoli. The raja thus came into the possession of Sabalgarh. But these places was again taken back by Scindia’S forces and incorporated in his dominions. It was at Sabalgarh, as mentioned earlier, that Daulat Rao sindia and Jaswant Rao Holker met for an alliance against the East India Company in 1805. The fort of Sabalgarh is noteworthy among the medieval monuments. There is a ‘Bandh’ built in the Scindia period behind the fort. The foundation of Sabalgarh was laid by a ‘Gujar’ named Sabla of Baisla clan. The fort was constructed on a high cliff by Gopal Singh Bainsla, the Raja of Karauli. Sikandar Lodhi sent an army to take control of the fort. The Marathas, in their campaign through northern India, retook the fort and returned it to the Raja of Karauli. भारत की सांस्कृतिक विरासत और धरोहर से पटी हुई ऋषि गालव की तपोभूमि ग्वालियर से महज 105 किमी दूर सबलगढ़ किले के बारे में खूब सुन रखा था और यह जगह एक समय करौली के राजा के अधीन थी। 16वीं-17वीं शताब्दी में बने इसे किले की प्राचीर सिकंदर लोधी की तलवार और मराठा राजाओं के युद्ध की मूक गवाह है। इस किले की नींव सबला गुर्जर ने डाली थी, जबकि करौली के महाराज गोपाल सिंह ने किले का निर्माण पूरा कराया। किले का विचरण करने पर इसकी तत्कालीन भव्यता के बारे में स्वत : ही अनुमान लगाया जा सकता है। सबलगढ़ का किला राजस्थानी शैली में बना हुआ है। जिसके तीन दरवाजे हैं और कई मंदिर इस किले के अंदर मौजूद हैं। इसमें जगन्नाथ जी का मंदिर प्रमुख है। किले के भीतर नवलसिंह की हवेली और कचहरी भी दर्शनीय है। किले के पीछे सिंधिया काल में बना एक बांध है, जहां की सुंदरता देखते ही बनती है। मेरे मोबाइल कैमरे से लिए गए फोटो इस जगह की यादों को सदा संजोए हुए हैं। मित्रों की टोली के साथ दिन में किला घूमा और शाम को हमने वापस ग्वालियर की ओर रवानगी डाल दी। कैसे पहुंचे- ग्वालियर-आगरा मार्ग पर, मुरैना से बायीं ओर श्योपुर की ओर मात्र 60 किमी दूर मध्यकाल के इस नगर सबलगढ़ तक पक्की सड़क है। यहां सुबह जाकर शाम तक वापस आया जा सकता है। रात्रि विश्राम के लिए धर्मशाला व सरकारी गेस्ट हाउस है। रास्ते के लिए पीने का पानी और स्वल्पाहार साथ ले जाएं। सबलगढ़ में खाने की उत्तम व्यवस्था है। #sabalgarhkakila #sabalgarhfort #sabalgarhkaitihas #sabalgarhstory #sabalgarhbloodstone #khoonnikalnewalakila #khoonnikaltahaiwala #khooniRahasya #morenakila #mystery    / @neerajtripvlog
