Sorrento, Pompeii & Vesuvius 🇮🇹 Italy at its Most Iconic

It's possible to visit Sorrento, Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius in a weekend! This travel guide can be used as a weekend trip from Europe or as an itinerary for those coming from a little further, wanting to explore some of Southern Italy's most famous gems. In this video, I'll show you the day tour we booked to Pompeii & Mt Vesuvius, unmissable places we visited in Sorrento, as well as the transport we used to get around. Sorrento is the city of lemons and you can't visit without trying a glass of homemade limoncello. The lost city of Pompeii is an archaeological phenomenon after Mt Vesuvius erupted and covered it in ash and lava. Remnants and casts of human bodies remain in the city today and I'll explain the way that scientists have 'preserved' their bodies for visitors to view. Climbing Mt Vesuvius is a visual treat, with views across the Bay of Naples and into the volcanic crater itself. Don't worry - it's not due for another eruption for a few hundred years (with any luck!!) I will never forget this historically-rich trip to Southern Italy! It was a dream of mine since I was 8 years old! I'll show you how to get to Sorrento by either Rome or Naples, as well as the accommodation we stayed in (and why) and provide many of my insights and tips for visiting these once-in-a-lifetime sites.
