Swiss-Italian Border Ski Traverse

The girls arrived from Vancouver and so did another storm to the northern alps . I was worried our six day backcountry traverse would have to be canceled. Peter, our guide, contacted me and said not to worry, we will simply change our route to the southern alps for better weather. He took care of all the logistics and hut bookings. That is why a Swiss guide with 46 years of experience is invaluable. Instead, we literally followed the Swiss/Italian border, east to west, from All'Acqua to Devero, crossing the border almost every day. Touring in the Alps provides so many options for all weather conditions. The trip was fantastic, of course.
